Look Ma, no batteries!

This after-market clip-on attachment to any existing automobile sun-visor consists of a bimetallic coiled spring louver which uncoils when direct sunlight hits the coil in-line with the drivers eyes. This will cause the louver to open until the shade of the regular visor cools the coil itself.

Positioning can be best determined by each individual driver.

Nitinol is not that good. You could have the House of Tiffany create beautiful color changing windows out of old polaroid sunglass lenses though with an art deco motif though!

That might be pretty, but I just want to block the sun when I am driving on twisty roads not induce an acid flashback.
