Half a croissant, on a plate, with a sign in front of it saying '50c'

The phrase 'crumpled heap' comes to mind.

Cheer by clinking cell phones together, or on other people's glasses. My little cousin did this at dinner the other day, since she can't drink alcohol.

Good if, well, you're a kid who can't drink alcohol, or other situations.

Cheers Edwin. The next round will be on you. http://www.huffingt...-app_n_1411699.html

And then there is the new NFC method of transferring money by clinking phones together. [link]

This is quickly going to result in phone-conker competitions, in which the structural integrity of $800 Iphones will be tested against original Nokia phones. Suddenly, the dual core a5 chip doesn't seem so useful...

Actually looking up, and lifting and moving the phone, is so 2011. I expect nothing less than an app that shows a "cheers" button which makes a clink noise and sends an automated notification to all phones within a few yards that they've been "clinked".

I expect a telescoping martini glass that pops out of the top of the phone!
