The pulse laser hole punch would have a built in power supply and provide pulses strong enough to two and three hole punch (with adjustable mirrors) 1000 sheets of paper.

Probably capable of punching a hole through 1000 sheets of paper...one at a time. [phoenix, Oct 04 2004, last modified Oct 05 2004]

It slices! It dices! It burns holes in your carpet!

I think you should make this more versatile - if it can punch holes through a double ream, it can also cut out custom outlines for marketing pieces. Though I still suspect the singed edges would be a drag on marketing.

Aren't very high pressure water jets used for cutting?

Baked. Was in Virginia in August and watched an industrial laser punching out pre-programmed patterns in 1/2 in Stainless. Besides cutting designs they were also using it to punch all the bolt holes for the pieces as well.
Now a laser tap and/or die, that would be cool. Especially if you could get it down to the home owner affordable level. Just imagine never having to worry about if you have the correct size and pitch again, just program what you want into your trusty laser tap/die and step back!
