Urban Rent-a-Hammock

Urban Rent-a-Hammocks take the form of twin posts set up in city park locations. On one of the posts there is a simple parking meter type box into which coins may be inserted and a suitable resting time selected (with a one hour limit). This action releases the hammock, which one pulls across and hooks unto the facing post.

During the period of respite, the services of one of the wandering punkawallahs may be obtained for an additional fee.

When the allocated time has expired, there is a two minute warning before the securing hook releases its grasp. The hammock then winds itself back into its holding container, where it is sprayed clean and dried, ready for the next weary traveller.
