John entered the voting booth and stood on the first black step. "Calculating weight..." the machine beeped. "Starting in 3...2....1...."
The stairs began to rotate, slowly at first, then faster and faster. John's feet were a blur; his finger poked repeatedly at the touchscreen in front of him. Soon
he slipped to the floor.
"You burned 29 calories and voted 12 times before falling off." the machine beeped. "Thank you for voting!"
