Type in where you are traveling, and time of your flight. The site then lists stuff people forgot to bring when traveling to that geographic location. Of course, there will be a list of general items to bring on every trip. . .

There are lots of generic travel checklists, and lots of checklists for specific countries, but I don't know of a centralized site that would collect them. |
|

And this is a *reverse* checklist. It's a forgot list. A
whole different ball of wax I say. A big + for your
new Expeforgotio! |

in my experience, the one thing I can always count on is:
travel = forgetting useful stuff |
|

Ahhh, The reverse checklist:) |

This would be a good feature to add to tripit.com, a trip organizing site that I highly recommend. |

I think a really useful tool for remembering what you need would be a list of everything you're going to need that gets text-messaged to your cellphone 2 hours before you plan to leave the house. The text message would be excellent because your phone would set off an alarm tone upon receiving it, thus alerting you to the fact that you should double-check everything you packed the night before. My biggest downfall when travelling isn't remembering to pack everything. I usually pack everything just fine. My biggest downfall is that I pack everything a day or two before my trip in an effort to be extra-prepared, then I end up digging stuff out the night before (like my toothbrush or Gameboy) to use it and forget to re-pack it. It's the stupid, last-minute shit that gets me every time. |

My point is that a service that reminds me at the very last minute to check everything *again* would be more useful. Either that, or a device that I can set after everything is securely packed that prevents me from opening the suitcase until I've arrived at my destination, like a time-safe lock that TSA can open early with one of their master keys for their inspections.
