It seems to me that one of the big problem with bluetooth headsets are that they make you look like a borg.
However, the benefit is that they are not connected to the cell phone.
It should be a relatively simple process to mate a concealed ear monitor and mic to a bluetooth receiver, via a coiled
wire (similar to those the secret service and tv reporters use) and the receiver then clipped inside your shirt or blouse, leaving you to have those great conversations, seemingly by yourself, with no blue light shining out your ear.

I thought the benefit was that they have no cords, which irritate me. I really hate cords dangling down my neck, every time it moves it tickles. The point of the blue light is so folks know you're talking. If they just see you rambling on and on with no mic or Bluetooth in sight, they'll think you're crazy. Folks think I'm crazy enough as is. |
|
| |
I don't think you're crazy enough. |
|
| |
I think [21 Quest] is crazy enough (just sticking up for you, [21]) |
|
| |
Guess I walked right into that... |
|
| |
I think [21] is *almost* crazy enough. He just needs to get himself a couple of cats... |
|
| |
I'd much rather look like a borg then a
creep. |

jtp, I've had cats. We get along quite well. Only got rid of my last cat because he hated my wife. One time he even took a dump on her feet when she scolded him and picked him up by the scruff of the neck. In hindsight, I can see why. |

punk_rocker, I quite agree. Borg are cool. Borg are modern. Borg adapt. Eventually, we will all be assimilated into the borg collective. Resistance is futile. I'd rather make it less painful and just enlist. |

I always look like a borg. With a mullet. I like that look, especially considering that my cortical visor and ever-present earphone scares the custard out of a lot of people. The good people at Future Shop love it when I stand around in their stores. I should get a job as a model there. |

Come on, where's [8th of 7] on this one? |
|

[21] Always trust the judgement of your pet over your own. They see things in ways we cannot. By the way, I've added a link to explain the inspiration for my previous anno, if you didn't know WTF I was talking about. |

I hate how in the movies the secret service have those special phones its like "oh look at us, we can talk to our ears you fucking taxpaying bastards!" |
|
| |
[Spacecoyote], you are right. Those things are cool! For some reason, anyone working in government or on anything involving the news gets those. They're mostly used to let people who know nothing about where they are gain the ability to carry on a conversation during an interview. |
|
| |
I would get those, but Bluetooth looks cooler to me. And I have no clue how to legally get those. |
|
| |
P.S: [8th of 7], I know you're out there. |
