Daisy-Chained Shopping Cart Stretchermobiles

 At least some way to slowly leave the bombed mega-ruins

These shopping carts (trolleys to you Brits) convert to low wheeled stretchers which are pulled along by some smallish remote-controlled tank-like device, which flashes an emergency beacon to attract attention in a recently-nuked city, with some simple instructions as to how to operate it.

Problems to overcome would be the wheel caster size in comparison to the likely state of the terrain.
