What more is there to say? Fireworks are a mature technology. Machine guns are a mature technology. Flare pistols are a mature technology. Combine in one affordable mass=produced consumer package for instant impromptu celebratory displays. Sidney Harber-Bryge eat your heart out.

Mk 47 Striker https://en.wikipedi.../wiki/Mk_47_Striker
Incredibly expensive to use, appalingly addictive .. [8th of 7, Jan 02 2016]

Colourful blanks colourful_20blanks
Admittedly, only on a personal scale [wjt, Jan 03 2016]

Automatic shotguns https://en.wikipedi...i/Automatic_shotgun
Not too many around, but they do exist. Flare shells exist in 12 gauge, so I suppose that combo there makes this somewhat baked. [Custardguts, Jan 04 2016]

Fireworks shotgun shells are also a "mature technology"

[suggested-for-deletion], Baked & WKTE. And great fun.

Honorary [+], but sadly not an innovation.

I'm using ”fireworks” as a technical term here, and the Mk 47 seems to not actually shoot fireworks, but shells. Also, I have yet to see an automatic shotgun (am I showing my naïvety there?)

       Yes.

The Mk 47 has a wide range of stores available; illumnating and signal flares, coloured smokes (including airburst), WP ... definitely pyrotechnics.

I know there are machine guns that shoot airburst rounds but I've never seen one specifically designed just to make pretty patterns in the sky like you could with this.

Only gets a bun if it's 1) it's a gatling gun and 2) it's powered by many hamster wheels geared together. Getting ear protection in hamster size could be a problem.
