Internal Combustion Pogo

Instead of just the usual spring, the barrel also incorporates a small combustion chamber and a piston connected to the foot of the stick.

At the appropriate point diesel is injected and is compressed by the upstroke, ignites and the explosion forces the piston down again, propelling stick and rider in to the air.

Hopefully the fuel and batteries for the glow plugs could be incorporated into the stick.

Baked, not with diesel though. However the same principle.

[skinflaps], the fascinated terror expressed on your link is hilarious. "We don't have any, and we don't want to sell any."

Can mine use a shaped charge? One big bounce!

I like this idea. I have always thought diesel power the best for a simple powered pogo stick. Add computer control to limit or shut off power when the rider is off balance and youv'e got something.
