Napkin sleeves

"Wipe your mouth on your sleeve!"
  [vote for,

To capitalise on the propensity of young children to wipe their mouths on their sleeves while eating, napking should be made in elasticated, tubular sections which can be slipped onto the arms before eating. Soon these will be fashionable in all the best restaurants and eating places and to wipe your mouth on a traditional napkin rather than your sleeve will be seen as a ghastly faux pas.

Cannibals can wear someone's heart on their sleeves.

Aparently (according to How2) this is why in the navy the crew have buttons on their jacket cuffs. Not sure how accurate it is as How2 also said polar bears cover their black noses with their paws when hunting to get better camouflage in the snow.

wonder why nature gave them black noses
po, Jan 16 2006

       So they don't get sunburn.
squeak, Jan 16 2006

why didn't mother nature do the same for my cat then. have you tried putting sun lotion on a moggy?
po, Jan 16 2006

//have you tried putting sun lotion on a moggy?// Oddly enough, no, I haven't

Wildcats do have black noses, or brown.
squeak, Jan 16 2006

That's 'cos they're sun-tanned 'cos no-one got close enough to put on sun-block
coprocephalous, Jan 16 2006

I'm 18 and I still wipe my mouth on my sleeves.

See link. It seems that Sheryl Crow has been publicising this idea without crediting me. Come on then, own up - which one of you is Sheryl Crow?
hippo, Apr 23 2007

I see it now! Kirk Douglas is Sheryl Crow.
