Plane's still normally have a fixed number of audio channels to choose from, I'd like to see a sensible sized hard-drive full of tunes so that we can listen to what we like. Better still, we can each create playlists and listen to those of other passengers.

Some airlines have WiFi service on board now. If you use iTunes, its Rendezvous protocol should allow you to browse the playlists of other passengers and play songs from them. (Well, only up to 5, due to a goofy new restriction that Apple slipstreamed in).
