A watering can with a paddle wheel at the output. The axis can be a spinning prayer wheel if you please. Or, simply enjoy the water making the wheel cycle just as the water makes the plants cycle through their life.
Also, the paddle wheel distributes the water more randomly, closer to "natural rain"
than it would have been.
