Electroluminescent plants
Incorporate EL material into convincing looking flowers/leaves

This has to be the ultimate in geeky garden accessories. EL sheet can be got hold of in nearly any shape or size now, so incorporate it into the leaves and flowers of the fake plant. During the day it sits there but at night it lights up with green leaves and pink/red/orange/etc flowers.

Annotation:

I would not want them in my house, but it coud be perfect for childrens parks like Disney.

[cheesinglee]: That's what I thought this idea said.

The sad thing is, people would buy these.

I'd go for this if it was a real plant. Shouldn't be at all difficult - they've made rabbits glow in the dark, so I am sure they can do ficus trees without straining the admins' credulity.
