Date Saver

requires a well organized pantry and a camera phone.

Organize your pantry and cupboards so all the labels face out. Take a picture of the pantry of sufficient resolution and with sufficient lighting for all labels to be legible and all produce visually recognizable. Also include a text message with a list of the appliances at your disposal, and a picture of all your utensils laid out on the counter. Send to the Date Saver hotline, and they'll call you back within 1 hour with some recipes you can make for that hot date you've been freaking out about, and a brief shopping list for small things that might help.

Now... take a deap breath. Relax. Remember to make the bed, make sure you have a Trojan pocket pak handy, and take a shower. Done? Good. Now, go get 'em, tiger!

The cook mate app seems like a good idea, but not the same thing as what I've posted. You have to manually enter the ingredients, whereas my idea quickly takes stock of all of them for you.

somewhere in here we have a "website that you list everything in the fridge/cupboard and it tells you what to cook" Idea... yup that's it, under the penguin next to the sofa.

I think a product that attempts to save a romantic date that seems to be on the wrong tracks would be better.
