Fold it a second time to make a pogo stick? |
Fold it twice the other way for four wheels. |
Interestingly, this could actually be done

So can "Stars In Their Eyes". The number of things
that can be done is, almost by definition, greater
than the number of things that both can and should
be done. |

Cut it in half and have one for a friend. Could even become an Olympic event. Unicycle tandem racing. |
I'm not so sure it can be. The loading of a bicycle is,
inherently forward of the rear wheel, as is the
drive train. The loading and drive train (if it has
one) of a unicycle are directly above the wheel. I
think there may enough topologic difference to
make the one not fold into the other. |
Given that it's possible to sustain a wheelie on a
bicycle, I'm pretty sure that suitable origamitechnics
would enable unicycular progression. |
It could fold so one wheel drives the other wheel by friction. |
It might even be thought of as a unicycle that unfolds to become a bicycle... |
This is a fishbone that folds and becomes a "how?". |
The advantage of this is that you could push it through the
subway instead of having to lug it on your back like you
would with most folding bikes. |

Borrow-a-bike stations are becoming very popular in my
city, but you can't get them into the metro. |

Mr. [Christ] (re. above anno) - I think Brompton put very small wheels at the back of their bikes in the folded position so that they can be wheeled like those trailing suitcases. |
As for the penny-farthing being nuts, the large diameter wheel avoids the use of gears or sprockets and allows a smoother ride over bumps. That said, I have a friend with a 'kangaroo' which has a 3ft (ish) front wheel which is connected via a chain (pedals still turn with the wheel though). |
Generally a good idea though. [+] |
Where does the second wheel go? |
The second wheel attaches to the first wheel. Detahable
pedals can be attahed to the outsides of the wheel pair.

A smoother ride over _small_ bumps, [tomP]. |
