Ice Cube Jenga

Make you own Jenga set with an ice cube tray where each 'cube' is the correct size for a Jenga block. Simply fill up the tray with water - pop in the freezer. When you fancy a game of Ice Cube Jenga remove the blocks from the tray and hey presto.

The usual rules of Jenga would apply, but due to the very low friction created between melting ice the tower would be very sensitive. As the ice slowly melts, the tower would slowly change, making the "there's no way that one's coming out" block, that are ever so common in normal wooden Jenga, a thing of the past. The surface the tower is built on would have to perfectly (or as near as) level, or the entire stack would start to move, and slide around. Any knock or push in the wrong direction would be greatly exaggerated compared to the normal game.

In addition, it would also add a 4-dimensional element to the game, as time would also be a factor.

To prolong the game, the players could wear gloves (or sit in the freezer).

       I don't think the ice-cubed jenga tower would stand for more than a couple minutes, which would only allow ONE game per set of jenga blocks. Still, [+] for creativity.

       Interesting concept, even though I agree with all the hoo-ha about the pieces sticking together. On second thought, that would make the game more interesting, get the tower as tall as possible before the ice cubes start melting and sticking to each other. I'm getting nervous already.

       You forgot to mention floating devices--probably a small boat--for when the iceberg is completely melted and you have nothing left to stand or sit on. Then you can do some whale watching while waiting for the helicopter to pick you up again.

       I like. What about snowball Jenga. (For the outdoorsy type). Instead of snowmen, you could play Jenga balancing snowballs. All the neighbors would gather around whispering, "jenga, jenga, jenga", till a dog or squirrel came rushing by and knocked the tower over. What a wonderful idea. +

       If played in a freezer, a good strategy would be to rub the touching surface of the piece you're about to place with your finger to melt it a bit, so it'll refreeze adhered in place.
