This is an app that screen scrapes a match3 game like candy crush or bejewelled and then backs up each play and shows you how you could have done better -- teaches you to pattern recognize the situations that will lead to big scores, rather than you just constantly shooting in the dark. Is this because I have a smaller brain than everyone else? It could be because I cant stop playing match 3 games but I never get any better at them. Each move for me is a random gamble, a nervous, panic-y scramble for any solution, when it should be a calm, reasoned, strategic ballenceing of the alternatives. f that, i need a solution now, because i am addicted to the reward. So come on game, please work with me, not because you feel sorry for me, but because if you can work out how to make me good then you will be able to make anyone good and you will have a lot of good candy crush players on your hands which is good for you.

Could you try playing a match-3 game which doesn't have time pressure?

Monster Busters seems to be good, and its got a very gentle difficulty curve.

//Is this because I have a smaller brain than everyone else?// Can we take that as rhetorical?

What, in layman's terms, is a "match 3s"? And what is a candy crush?

And while we're about it, what is "ballenceing"?

Ah. Match 3...the game of filberts. I like it and thus give it a bun!

School would have been more interesting if the teachers travelled at Mach 3.

I tried Monster Busters and it seems just as hard to mr as candy crush. This confirms for me that it is my small brain that is causing this issue. Even on Monster Busters I would have benefitted greatly from a feature that rewound the tape after every move and taught me to visually pattern recognize the bigger scores, and then slo mo run the type from initial to final set up a couple of times so that I can grow a forecasting ability so that I sm not scrambling around so much.

I think this is a fine idea, both for the proposed application and as a general principle. People do lots of things that require a modicum of skill: drive, play games, take tests, make sweet love. Can instruction improve the experience?

I have not done a Kaplan course but I suspect this would be the model. Wade in here, anyone who knows something about these but I think Kaplan teaches you test taking strategies. Again my ignorance is staggering but I would guess that the military would use a similar approach to training infantrymen: lay out viable approaches to a given common situation (for example: how should a team enter a house that may harbor enemies>), make sure the principles are clear such that one can improvise based on those principles, and give it a try.

I think I have seen tricks for bejeweled on line. A question: how to know if you are improving? High scores for these games are outliers, although if you picked up some tricks and proceeded to clear the scoreboard that would suggest they are effective. Really what is needed is a mean score, because if you improved your average 15% that might not translate to hew high scores.

Candy crush is like spongebob in that both are banned from my house.
