(This was my reaction to Jamie Kellner's ill-considered comments on ad-skipping being theft.) You know how the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists has the "doomsday clock", which they move towards/away from midnight according to their worries of global annihiliation? The Max Headroom clock would start at 20 minutes into the future, and then (for example) when the RIAA mandates royalty-tallying implants on everyone's auditory nerve, announcers can solemnly announce that the clock now stands at 5 minutes into the future, or whatever.
