Panda Drum Your Cat Plays

 Cat plays with swinging toy that strikes notes and creates soothing background sounds.

Take the panda drum in link #1 and have a modified link #2, a springy fishing pole deal mounted in the middle with a mallet that moves around and hits various notes.

Your cat going nuts would create ironically soothing tones.
