Needed: statistics on how many times your average gram of dirt has
been processed through an animal's alimentary canal, over earth's
history, in a public information campaign, directed mainly towards
places with the strongly held belief that the world is only 4000 years
old.

The problem comes with defining "dirt". If it means
any solid matter on Earth, the average number of
times will be extremely small - the Earth's core and
mantle, for instance, haven't circulated a lot. |
|
|
Also, your reasoning is circular. The statistics will
depend on the average age you assume for the Earth
and its inhabitants. |
|
|
Pretty meaningless: food that goes through a digestive system gets changed to something else; rock particulates ("dirt") aren't ingested on purpose. |

mfd idea there isn't one. |

Anc. Grmr: "Hath spoken". Really, it's not that
difficult. |

I changed it slightly, thought it would sneak by. Guess not.
Someones got their mono-glass out going over stuff with a fine
tooth comb. |

We got your pedantry right here. For reference: |
|
|
I, we, ye (you plural), they have
thou (you, singular) hast
he, she, it hath
I, he, she, it, we, ye (you plural), they had
thou (you singular) hadst |

The foregoing applies to people. In the case of
animals, plants, the weather and the sea:
It haethen
They haetheren and
It hadseach
They hadseachen |

... or consult Bodmer and Hogben (see link), who know more about this than [MB] and are not taking the piss. |

As if that were relevant. It is far, far more important
to be confident than to be right. |
