Post Apocalyptic Cereal

The only part of this incomplete breakfast

The cereal of Muesli once known around the world for its richness in flavor and diverse ingredients has been reduced to ashes, dried leaves, Twinkie bits and whatever is still growing at the time. (Maybe even a can or two of pork and beans, who really cares at this point?) The shelf life is superb as the ingredients have been irradiated beforehand.

No two bowls will be the same for two reasons. One, many ingredients will be local and seasonal due to poor transportation infrastructure and secondly, the bowls will be made by hand.

Best served with potable water (if you can get it.) If not, no big deal, you aren't going to be around to much longer anyway. This cereal turns your water into a drink not entirely unlike tea and will give you all of your daily allowed % of uranium. One bite and you will truly envy the dead.

Ok, so it's not a brand, it's not a specific product, not a delivery method ... it's nothing more than wordplay on a brand name combined with your invention of the idea that survivors of nuclear war might still want to eat.

       It is a theme though.

       What's not to like [+]?

It's going to be our very unfunny reality if we don't shape up. I'm planning on stockpiling ammo so I can loot people without ammo. >:)

Stockpile food instead. Buy a sword and a compound bow, learn how to use them. Come the apocalypse, hole up for a few months until everyone is either dead or out of ammo, then emerge and claim your rightful place as king.

Here's another tip: don't go pulling that trick in my neighborhood. We already have a post-apocalypse king, and I'm not the type to share my throne OR my ammo.

And the difference between this and current muesli is?
Phrontistery, May 28 2012

Current muesli isn't sitting, stale, on a shelf in an abandoned supermarket, alongside cans of Nozz-A- La.

Reminds me of your other effort, Goth Crunch.

You realize, [Alterother], that you just sound like sort of a kook. Honestly, if things get to be /that/ bad, I'm not sure I really even /want/ to survive.

Mmm! Grain-fed long pig. Things are looking up for my own apocalypse survival plan.

       Just don't eat the graaaaiiinnnsss!
UnaBubba, May 29 2012

How well does it go with Twinkies?
RayfordSteele, May 29 2012

'Current muesli isn't sitting, stale, on a shelf'... au contraire, I thought that was its raisin d'être.
