Terraced Suburbs

Gardens should be flat. People who don't have flat gardens usually try to make as much of their garden flat by building retaining walls here and there.

I think all blocks of a new suburb should be completely flat (except for the driveway). There would be economies of scale if all the retaining walls were built at the same time by the developer and before any of the houses were built. To minimize the amount of retaining walls I think the streets would generally follow the contours of the land which would look natural.
