Most of us throw away our printed paper when its useless. There should be "White color ink printer". The white ink clear away all printed material so that we can reuse the paper again.

Ideas for white ink have been around for a while. White ink is used frequently in the print industry. [xenzag, Jun 20 2014]

       These aren't the drafts you're looking for ...

       Even the ubiquitous black ink costs considerably more than paper. Clearing the old ink would also require new printers that could see where the black was .

       // new printers that could see where the black was //

       <pedant>

       No, "require new printers that could see where the black is". If the printer is looking for where the black was, then the black isn't there any more. Therefore the printer cannot by definition see the black, only the place it used to be.

       No, he was right, because the black didn't just materialise in place as the printer looked. It was there before it looked as well.
pocmloc, Jun 23 2014

       Actually, he was right because he was speaking about a counterfactual situation, thus using the subjunctive mood.

       So either way, [8th] was wrong—and that's what really matters here.

       "was" is the past continuous of "to be". The difference between "We went to where the crash was" and "We went to where the car is" is quite clear. In the first sentence, "the crash" is in the past and is no longer happening. In the second, the car existed at the specified location and continues to exist.

       // speaking about a counterfactual situation //

       Disputed - the situation described is not counterfactual.

       // [8th] was wrong—and that's what really matters here //

       But since the anno remains extant, and continues into the present, you should say "[8th] is wrong", Ha Ha ! So you're the one that's wrong, [ytk] ! HA HA HA ! AHAHAHAHAH ! <hiccups>

       Ahem.

       It doesn't have to be actually be counterfactual, just spoken about in that sense. Grammar isn't affected by reality.

       Also, I have no knowledge as to your current degree of wrongth. I was referring to the instant you made the error. You may have seen the problem but neglected to update your annotation. I was giving you the benefit of the doubt.

       And yes, the use of “was” there was deliberate. (So wa… er, that one as well.)

       Besides, you were wrong at the time. As Mitch Hedburg put it, “I used to do a lot of drugs. I still do, but I used to, too.”

       I think old timer halfbakers here have reached a point where they aren't thinking anything will ever be invented here.
The fact is that this is brilliant. Even if it exists in the printing industry, since white ink is not intended for that purpose.

       The home printer for this would need to know what the page its printing on looks like, so an extra 1$ ccd would need to be added, and appropriate software.
Of course the paper industry would create havoc against this.
