Active Flash Cancelling

 A sensory modifying visor for people sensitive to flashing bright lights.

Essentially Active Light Cancellation similar but different to Active Noise Cancellation.

If you are sensitive to flashing lights due to a concussion or other underlying issue, this active processing visor would turn blinking lights solid or remove them completely for the viewer, with adjustment for the frequency and duration of flashing that needs to be cancelled/modified.

If it would exist now my partner would buy it immediately and start catching up on concerts that I can currently enjoy.

       I came in expecting this to be an idea for getting public figures cancelled even faster for saying things we don't like. This is better, but unsure of the science I consulted ChatGPT, which tells me that canceling noise by emitting counter-noise is much easier to achieve with existing tech than trying to counter light in the same way. Think of how much faster light is moving than sound waves are. There are some technological workarounds that could theoretically achieve a similar effect, but it wouldn't be anything lightweight like Geordi's visor in Star Trek. It would be a bulky affair like the Apple Vision Pro, which has gotten a lot of negative feedback because of the weight and associated neck strain from prolonged wear.

       It would be great if it existed.   

       There'd be a workaround if you could tolerate seeing *everything* slightly later than those around you. Just don't play catch while wearing that.
