Automated Phone Answering Graphic

Inspired from Farmer John's phone menu maze.

A graphic map pops up of your choices, the buttons you push bring you to that part of the system.

So you want to talk to the bank about why they charged you a "happy funtime fee".

A map appears on your phone, the menu options are laid out like cities with roads leading to them. You might push "Problems with your account" the app zooms into that "location" with various roads leading to other things you might want to do. Rather than listening to the robot blathering on about your choices, you just see them graphically with one glance, and push the location where you want to go.

So you'd see the map, at the beginning it might show "Investment assistance", "Trouble with your account", "See balances" etc. For the "see balances", you'd hit that and it would be bring up your various accounts, but let's stick with the mystery charge.

You've hit trouble with your account and one of the little graphics show "Mystery charge", you hit that and it lists all the possibilities, one being "Mystery bank charge", you hit that one the "happy funtime fee" pops up.

To be clear, this is a cellphone app the company would supply to you. It would know if you have the app because you made the call with it.

See Farmer John's link for the inspiration.

I'm absolutely sure this has probably been thought of but I haven't heard of it, so just in case.

No, like this: https://www.faceboo...t=a.720772034651905
For complaints you'd hit the area on the map marked "Land Of Voluminous Grief" [doctorremulac3, Apr 28 2024]

(Hippo) No, simpler, it would just look like this: (link)

Adding a graphic like this might add a level of clarity to the complicated menu items. "Complaints are up on the left in the land of Voluminous Grief.".

Like I said, I'm sure this has been proposed before, but not that.

Blithering robots . Mystery bank fees. It's a dubious old world we live in.
