Ballet Fountain
A digitally controlled 3d nozzle arrangement at the end of a hose | |
Picture a high pressure water hose flying around when you let go of it only controlled.
A long clear hose at the end of which is a unit with a series of solenoid operated nozzles pointed in 6 directions similar to the thrusters on a spacecraft. Opening the bottom hole would spray high pressure water
out and raise the unit, opening the right nozzle would make it fly to the left etc.
You'd program the thing to dance around in interesting patterns and could also choreograph multiple units to do water ballets.
Unless they were padded you'd probably want to stay back as they flew around though.

Did you intend to set these gyrations to music? If so, what? |
|
|
Blue Danube or some kind of cliche' snake charmer music I suppose. |
|
|
You could also just have a bunch swaying back and forth like seagrass or something. |

You all thought you would see me or po's name
attached to this, didn't you...hahaha...we are
sooooo not into fountains and ballet now. So passe. |

As for the idea, though drawn to it for some strange
reason, I'm thinking the dance may be more in the
line of clogs, or contra dancing, then ballet. Guess it
would depend on the pressure emission though. |

//Water Wiggle// Good Lord. //you'd probably want to stay

Controlling the thing might be technically challenging, unless
hose-stiffness was negligible compared to nozzle-force. But
that makes it a more balanced mixture of art & engineering,
