OK, this may be one of the lamer ideas, but how about a pool table with no felt? There'd just be slate and you could write on it. And with a pool table costing muchos pesos, the $.05 you save on felt would really help out, making them much more affordable for the rest of us. I think this one's a winner,
fer sher.

I like this. You could chalk out your intended shot and see how it differs from the reality. |
|
|
//the $.05 you save on felt would really help out// It costs around $350.00 US to get decent felt installed on a table. Without it, you essentially have a dinner table with rails and holes.
//You could chalk out your intended shot// players and instructors do that already, directly on the felt, using the blue 'tip-chalk' to gently draw a thick line. [-]
but this does give me an idea . . . |

//you essentially have a dinner table with rails and holes.// A slate-topped dinner table, but still a dinner table. |
