The Burma Shave adverts were very successful in their simple delivery method. For those who don't know about them, they consisted of a series of simple limited word messages, spaced out at intervals along the highways of the USA.(see wiki link)

This would work really well as a reminder for those who need it; to wash their hands and stay in quarantine while coronavirus ravages the planet.
He didn't wash
He touched his iris
Now he has

The deal was sold,
They bought nine thousand

       you did well
but now try harder
don't clear the shelves
to fill your larder
xenzag, Mar 23 2020

       Now you've got
So stay at home
And quarantine
tatterdemalion, Mar 23 2020

       It's not the bug
That does the harm,
It's needless panic
And alarm !

       Like that... ?

Hmm, what about coronavirus haikus ?
8th of 7, Mar 23 2020

       I like it much
It hits the spot
Just look, don't touch
xenzag, Mar 23 2020

There was an old man of Stroud Green
Who thought he had COVID-19.
His throat was red-raw
But his hoard would ensure
That his bottom was perfectly clean.

       ^ BUN !

A toilet roll hoarder in Wyre
Didn't twig that TV was a liar
Thus, late one dark night
His stash all caught light
And he got burned to death by the fire ...

All good.... But the final word has to be coronavirus. It doesn't need to rhyme, but the sequence has to build towards it.
xenzag, Mar 23 2020

       "We're doomed ! We're doomed !"
The papers cried,
But in the end
Not many died ...

       He went too close
Then touched his head
He's still around
But ten are dead

       It winnows out
the old and slow
they take up space
and have to go

Now with quick illustration - see link.... I also just noticed that Coronavirus is an anagram of Carnivorous. How appropriate is that as it eats through the population?
xenzag, Mar 24 2020

Eats? Nibbles.... 0.3% mortality isn't exactly an attack by a Great White....

       "Cure yourself,"
He tried to teach
And now the dead
Are filled with bleach.

Do tell, how does one force a carriage return where one desires?

       Later: Thank you, lurch.

       They all did fear
that Mexi beer
But it's not that -
it's from a bat

While eating stew
It appeared much later
In the loo.

       To extend her health

To social distance
She swung a mace

       He joked and said
it's just a pox
but now he's nailed inside a box

       Somewhat stronger every year
Lock it down and live in fear

The market was ready to crash
Here's a chance to print more cash

I like to mask and wash my hands
But state control has bigger plans

       'Deus Ex' is always right
Grey Death is here; illumin'd night

       Problem, react, and solve away
Freedom, covid, and rig my way

       I bought an oxygen machine
But power's out, I'm turning green

The plans were laid so long ago
Peasants sit back and watch the show!

The leaky vaccine saves loved ones
Strengthens Covid-21

       It's fortunate the cat's immune
Bagpipes play a happy tune
sninctown, Mar 05 2021

       There goes the drive
the safety of nine to five
Randomly free
to mix work and family

       Luckily not too virulent
no eternal corpsing government
but just a good learn
To halt a time when this is the yearn.
