Anyone living with a family or housemates knows the aggravation of being awoken in the middle of the night from someone using the bathroom late at night. Those who consume many liquids before bedtime, those with prostrate issues or weak bladders are likely to wake up sometime when others are sleeping, to use the loo. One solution is to wait until someone else wakes up at a more natural hour, and let them push the handle. However, an unflushed bowl might offend them as a nasty morning surprise.

One solution could be a timer that pushes the lever, triggered by an electronic timer set to a time when everyone has woken up. This way, slumbering housemates can remain undisturbed, while weak bladders find guiltless relief. Along with triggering the toilet sometime in the morning once housemates have woken up, there could be a night light on the timer so that a late night urinator doesn’t need to switch on glaring bathroom nights or switch on noisy fans coupled to lighting systems. This way, they can do their job in relative quiet and with only the light needed to get the job done. No more annoying rush of waters in the middle of the night, and no more unpleasant morning surprises left in the bowl. Quiet nights and clear bowls for everyone!
