Doorbell Monitor

 For those who refuse to wait idly for visitors.

This would be a small device that would attach to your doorbell chimes and send a signal to a remote chime (similar to a child monitor). The remote chime could be run by battery or could have a plug that flips up (in the same manner as many rechargeable flashlights, or torches, as some prefer), and would be instantly portable.
