let us say you wish to visit the Potala Palace, last official residence of the Dalai Lamas (see link). but like all dreams, this one lingers in the 'if only' portion of your mind, buried under daily obligations and procrastination. DreamReacher puts you in the driver's seat with a detailed list of steps that will plant you in Tibet outside this magnificent structure. give it a proposed travel date and other variables like income, work schedule, and family-life. it will supply you varied options for reaching your goal with advice on how to pack, where to learn basics in the language, and how much you'll need to save each month to make your dream a reality.

as another quick example, let's say you decide you want to get that master's degree in Cyber Ethics after all. where to begin? DreamReacher will take your ideal scenario and map out a practical route to your graduation ceremony.

use the steps you want, ignore others. modify the list to suit your preferences. every big dream starts small.

[DreamReacher is most likely a portable internet-accessible device showing either a standard list of directions or an 'alternate view' showing a 3-D 'map'. in this view, the to-do list is pictoralized as bridges, stop lights, construction, etc. alternate routes are accessible through a side bar function, allowing you to consider all avenues to your goal. also, hot topic items like the palace itself would have quicklinks to internet pages giving more detailed information.]

and thus the pedant falls on her own sword. thanks for the correction, [21Quest].

i suspect it could be done as a program that reads and interprets data using a chain or sequence of learned steps. harnessing the internet as well as the personal data of the dreamer, it tabulates a likely scenario in which the dreamer meets his/her objective given current costs of fish at market, weather, preferences, whatever. if you forgot to add in a factor, add it in later. the more information you give, the more sophisticated and realistic the outcome.
