Dressing Up Box for Tortoises

At last a decent Tortoise based invention

Lonesome George is the last of his race and does not want to play with Tortoises of other extraction.

However if the other Tortoises had the 'Dressing Up Box for Tortoises' avalible they could make themselves look like George, and then he would want to join in their Tortoise games.

It is nice that my most far out idea yet is the only one not marked for deletion in the first annotation.

It must be that all resonable ideas have already been thought of.

Bigsleep, as a reptile based dressing up box of course it has a Stegosaurus outfit.

Wow, if this could actually give some sort of social life to the creature, this is a really good idea!

It sounds like a lot to shell out for ...

reading the link, it appears that George needs a female, so best include some cross-dressing items! ok here's a bun +

       Turtle nonsense.

could put a sail and roller-skates on him... that would speed things up.

21 Quest, obviously the other tortoises help dress one another. This could be another reason for Lonesome Georges unhappiness, in that he has not managed to get his trousers done up since 1842.

The subtitle made me spit vitamin water on myself.

Actually, I've always wondered about Lonesome George. I'd expect him to be able to cross-breed with a closely-related tortiose, and then at least his genes would be preserved, giving some opportunity to bringing the species back (more or less) by selective breeding of his offspring. Maybe this idea could help - take a related species, a little fibreglass here, a bit of a respray there, and hey preston!

Actually, scratch that. Been tried, failed.

Odd...this category I've noticed while browsing.

Though it should be popular the ideas are rather poorly received. Kind of like a used up has-been.

Don't fret though 8-9 tortoise. Your idea is leading by a landslide.

eight_nine_tortoise, this idea is perfect, are you female? are we soul mates?

*rolls eyes at obvious pandering to the masses*

haven't you learned? that trick never works here.

//just one question: how does a tortoise dress itself? //

       Slowly?
