Folding NEV

Fits in where it is needed

NEVs are low speed vehicles (25 mph) which have a limited range. As a tradeoff for being slow, they don't have to have the normal safety stuff that a car on a freeway would need. They are usually electric, and since they only have a 30 mile range, the batteries are not all that special.

Many families need to keep all their cars in their garage or in one or two designated parking spots. Such families will generally need to use ordinary cars, because they are more flexible.

Similarly, many people enjoy vacationing in an RV and like to bring a car with them for going around town, but find it is a bother to trailer a car.

To solve these problems, and probably others, we propose an NEV which folds. The roof flips up and over on the right, and seat of the benches drops flat. The left side shifts forward, and the right side back. The result is about a foot wide, and can hang on the back of an RV, fit between two cars in a garage, or maybe even be kept indoors.

Such vehicles could also be easily packed in a shipping container and send in quantity to other destinations. This might be useful in emergencies, wartime, remote mining operations, etc.

Please spell out the acronym NEV so that the uninformed (myself included) may understand what the badger you're talking about.

//low speed vehicles (25 mph) which have a limited range// Folding bicycles are widely known to exist.

Yes, but they're powered by your own strength, which costs nothing in the monetary sense. Since muscle power is obviously valueless, the bicycle is likewise grossly inferior to a vehicle powered by an energy source which must be purchased. What are you trying to do, destroy the economy?

Just because you're right doesn't mean you're not a sour old curmudgeon, [biggles].
