       Maybe *appearing* ink would be funnier. Teacher writes equation with marker -- nothing. Tries all the markers in turn -- still nothing. Finally goes out of the room to get some more markers, and when she gets back the board is completely covered with scribbles.

       I thought these might be markers which make me sick. The smell of them usually does anyway.

       How about markers that emite a horrid smell - e.g. rotten eggs!! That would bring the meeting to a quick close and you could get back to surfing the web at your desk!
