Hospitals have tried to make their lobbies more...
um...
hospitable as of the last dozen years or so, putting
soft-
white LED reading lamps here and there, which is
ironically
contributing to killing us all by eliminating an
overlooked
sterilizer--the UV from those god-awful fluorescent
tubes.
Place the UV lights anywhere people likely to be
contagious might congregate. Pub restrooms, hotel
lobbies, etc.

Many hospitals have discreetly-located UV luminaires for just that purpose. They become obvious when the main lighting is switched down at night (although some areas are constantly at full illumination) |
