I have some blue paint and some yellow paint, and I want to mix up some green paint. As usual, I end up with far more mixed than I need. So, after finishing the job I dispense the leftover can of green paint into the MemoryPaint Memory Recall Machine, and by some nifty filtration/agitation/centrifugal gadgetry I get back my blue and yellow paint.

There are a number of ways to approach separating the pigment particles, including those you list as well as forming the blue pigment by coating iron particles with the blue chromophore(s) and separating the particles magnetically. But I think you'd have a hard time separating the liquid that once went with the separated particles.

Of course, you could mix less than you need and end up with a problem that's easier to fix.
