       Combining the roles of Leader of the Opposition and The Doctor is going to be a tough gig ...

       Ahh, but that's the cunning bit, when the little man in the dalek suit gets cheesed off, they can just swap him out, and no one will ever know..

       //Leader of the Opposition

       Very easy gig, you just have to consistently lose, so never actually do anything for the money..

       No. You can't pack the mind of a timelord into a mass of genetically grown bubbling hate. One of these newfangled acquired daleks might be a different story.

       Making the doctor more alien would lose the casual 'Dr Who' watcher's empathy.

       Now *that* sounds like a challenge. I mean, there's no reason in principle why you can't; there would just be a series of interesting practical difficulties.

       [8th], have you got anything on the boil that would make a suitable starting point?

       Only cats. We'll let you know if we find anything.

       Sounds like there is an artistic limit to a production. Too many people working on a project hides the quirkiness of individual collaborators and reduces the entity to a generic great rather than something unique and special. Too much money does spoil the broth.
