This probably exists somewhere in the tangle of consumer electronics... but my pager doesn't have it. When I lose my pager, as I often do, I'm always pained by the knowledge that my task would be easier if I had left it set to beep, not stun...uh...vibrate. An overide code that forced it to beep would
be great.

Or get a sensitive directional mike, and hunt the buzz with that. |

Or elastic band a marble to it so it makes an irritating loud buzz when it vibrates. (but why not put it on beep then?) |

Zip tie it to your left thigh. |

You would have thought it'd be easy for the firmware writers to generate a BEEP sound if the only text in a message sent to it was "YOU ARE LOST! BEEP FOR HEAVEN'S SAKE!" |

Good idea. The user would need to set the code to keep it confidential. Could have a different longer ring. |
