Just heard on news.... "the sky at night" will have another star.

Save an annotation on a post here, I'd never heard of him; cultural sympathy bun though.
FlyingToaster, Dec 09 2012

As i said, his ashes need to be sent into space.

//So he was the Other General?//

Is there an In Memoriam category?

Fully support sending him to space, probably by balloon as this is the UK space program we are talking about, even if it is destined to cause trouble colliding with future spaceships.

I hear Princess Diana died too, and out of the two I have to say I liked Patrick, more, but is this really the time and place for cultural sympathy.

no disrespect intended; definitely a world-class gentleman.

I think 'remembrance' is meant to be in-house. Is there a "news of the world" pigeonhole ?
FlyingToaster, Dec 11 2012

yeah but you put "what FT said" while I was editing what I said to include the "cultural sympathy" bit.
