Peacock Tails for Cars

Imagine, you're stopped at the traffic lights and you spot a potential mate nearby. With the push of a button your car's tail fans into a gloriously impressive show. More expensive models would give you the ability to shake your tail feather, too.

Also very useful for unnerving potential love rivals, speed demons and traffic wardens.

Admittedly, even when it's closed, your peacock tail might shave a couple of MPG's off your car's performance, but what a small price to pay for undoubtedly instant kudos.

Although it would be generally silly to fan your tail at high speed, I imagine it could be modified to make a very useful braking aid.

John looked on in dissapointment as the girl he had just blown his feathers for climbed into the yellow lamborgini.

"these feathers better pay off soon, thats the third one this week" John muttered to himself as he began the process of repacking his peacock tail for the next attempt.

I went out on the pull and came back with all these peacocks...

I find this dangerously redundant with [po's] idea. Sorry. Tis much more asthetic, however.

Look's like it's a tale of two tails, po. Anyway, I display my plumage in your general direction.

very true, I hadn't thought of that.

Much more direct in intention than simply driving around in a red convertible.

my preference would be the hedgehog version, at the push of a button dozens of spikes jut out of your car into unwary pedestrians

It's like that song in the musical, Hair, about fine feathers and elegant plumage.
