Quite simply, its a radio transceiver with a solar panel, or a hand crank, with a directional antenna.

Install this device on multiple playgrounds and direct it to communicate with each other.

Now you have a network of kids talking together on playgrounds.

If you are feeling adventurous, you can even add a radio FM station kit, so kids can run their own 'local' radio station.
