Dictionary.com defines the word Shaolin as "no entry found for shaolin: Did you mean shoaling?"

But "Shaolin Soccer" has taught me that anything I can do, monks can do better. Monks can do anything better than you. So why not have them work in the places where humanity seems to not care what your order was and how much it cost on the menu?

Shaolin cooks do not need utensils or open flames, cutting with their hands, and focusing chi flow to broast, boil, halfbake, and fry. Shaolin hosts will not take a moment to find you a table, for the table was there all along. Shoalin servers will be prompt, coutreous, and respectful, because that's how I percieve Asian culture as a whole. There will be one non-Shaolin person manning the register for monetary purposes, but the Shaolin servers will accept small alms.

I hereby bagsy "Shoaling Diner." Won't post it just yet, but it's a goody. I reckon.

Okay, let's start again. Welcome to the HB, [nmf]! Not a bad idea.
"I'd like to see the menu."
"No need sir, we already know what you will order and our chef is busy cherishing it as we speak."

       P.S. Don't forget I'm funny, okay.
moomintroll, Dec 22 2005

       What does bagsy mean, master?
notmarkflynn, Dec 22 2005

bagsy (n): it means to reserve, my apprentice, to set aside for oneself.
Now, if you need me, I'll be in the kitchen, communing with some chicken ramen.
moomintroll, Dec 22 2005

I'm with this whole "apprentice/master thing," as long as you don't pour acid on my hand to open my mind and turn out to be a facet of my personality that I projected into my perception of reality. And I will not talk about Fight Club.
notmarkflynn, Dec 22 2005

No acid... got some chicken ramen, though.
moomintroll, Dec 22 2005

Picture me serious, and that's just ridiculous.

//Now, if you need me, I'll be in the kitchen, communing with some chicken ramen.//
I wouldn't let the health inspectors hear you say that [moomin].

When you can take the bill from my hand...it is time for you to go.

Oops. See ... spot on rice paper glove. Looks like meal on house.

[nmf] FYI: We've overhalfbaked the whole "ninjas do everything better" thing. Oh, shoalin is Chinese, and ninjas are Japanese. Not enough difference for me though, sorry.
sophocles, Dec 23 2005

       Well done, great improvement [nmf]!

       Though I agree with sophocles.
DesertFox, Dec 24 2005

Yeah, I tried to avoid the whole ninja thing. I should have used some other legendary Western warrior, like paladins or woad runners.
notmarkflynn, Jan 04 2006

And the plural of ninja is ninja. Just like sheep.
notmarkflynn, Jan 04 2006

       so we eat using chopstick?
rainbow, Jan 04 2006

So does this mean that a Shao Lin chef is a tao fu si?
