Yesterday, I found that the bottle cap of my water bottle was the
exact same size as the up/down buttons on the elevator. This got
me thinkig and experimenting on other objects that might be the
same size. So far I've been concentrating on circles. I'd like to see a
site where others find things
that are the same size, and possibly
post pictures of the similarities.

Such a site needs an absolute disciplinarian pedantic streak. Photos must be actual size, with ruler in fields. Items must be within a millimeter of size. Items shaved down or built up with putty to make size will be accepted but with special provisional status. |

I do like the idea of this, but there's a question of
tolerances. How precisely was your bottletop the same
size as the elevator buttons? Don't you have that nagging
fear, in the small hours of the morning, that a sensitive
finger could detect a little discrepency in size? |

Actually, I would like to see a site that just listed the sizes
of things, in order of size. For example "1.97mm -
diameter of a BIC Classic refill"; "18.2mm - diameter of an
English 20p coin." Of course, it would have to give both
metric and proper units. |

So it isn't just me who gets that frisson of excitement when I discover something that is the same size as something else unrelated to it. Once again, the Internet comes to the rescue of mankind. I'm undecided as to whether I'd want the work of discovery done for me by someone else, though. Meantime, have a croissant which exactly fits in the cutout in this outhouse door. |

When I was little, I noticed the size of the hands on Lego figurines was exactly right to hold a standard size of hook/nail/screwdriver/and so on. I went through all kinds of things in the shed that my lego men could hold perfectly. |

Just last night I was at a local venue before it filled up, and on the floor right next to eachother was a heavy guitar pick and a shard of plastic from a broken tabletop. Incidentally: If you draw a circle with the
