As stated in many places, and here on the halfbakery, octopi are smart. Smart enough, I hope, to learn how to cook.
Specializing in seafood, octopi work together to create your food. Some of them reside in the large tank beneath the glass floor, where, when you order your food, they catch your food.
Fish, oysters, and clams are no match for the octopi. They then bring the fish/shellfish/lobster to a special receptacle, which drains the water and is brought to an oven.
There, an octopus in an exosuit begins to cook your food, the exosuit operated by touch sensitive armsleeves. Eight mechanical legs are useful for cooking. The exosuit has a glass body in which you can watch your octopi chef.
For different dishes, different cephalapod chefs will be taught certain things to cook.
Afterwards, your meal is brought to you by an octopus in a waterfilled glass bowl on wheels with a food tray on top.
Then you may eat your octopus-free meal and leave a generous tip to be used to buy good treats for your octopi waiters and chefs.

Octopuses are smart and have great memories, but I don't think they're smarter than dogs. But they are definitely the smartest among the invertebrates. Not a great deal is known about octopus intelligence. |

Some cool things that we know about octopuses (the giant ones at least): |

- Octopuses have large brains and so are expected to be somewhat intelligent.
- Octopuses can learn through observation...
- ...which is a remarkable trait to evolve because octopuses aren't social creatures.
- Captive octopuses have been known to escape from their tanks and go for a walk around the aquarium. |

They're also known to cultivate small areas of the seabed, where they hang out during periods of precipitation. Boy, I'd like to be there. |

However, I think it's not completely outside the realm of reality to train octopuses to catch fish and deposit it in a basket. Now to make 'm catch *specific types* of fish on command could be tricky though.. maybe even impossible.. |
