If an idea gets no anno's for say a week, then an animated tumbleweed should start to blow across the page.
This would work especially well for badly recieved jokes.

       This is quite ironic.

(a bit off topic) - I have only seen one tumbleweed in person, but it was no doubt the most spectacular and unexpected tumlbeweed-viewing ever known to man. I was home on Christmas break from school and we as a family were going to hunt for a Christmas tree. We ventured up into Michigan where there was at least two feet of snow on the ground. Nonetheless, as we drove down an empty country road, a lone tumbleweed blew across the road in front of our car. It was exactly like you see in the movies, only with lots of snow. That poor little fella looked so far from home that I felt like stopping and offering him some hot chocolate. It was definately one of the strangest sights I have ever witnessed.

..and an eerie wind whistles through the bakery.

Yeah, I was trying to write down that wind noise, but the best I could come up with was Woooooosh.
Pitiful isn't it!

// should start to blow across the page. //

Which page, though? Do you have to visit the idea to see it?
phundug, Jul 08 2004

Yeah, you click on the idea and the tumbleweed blows across where the annos should be.
I had a go at this myself (see above) without the animation.

This is the kind of idea I like. Compact, visual, easy to read. I understand it instantly, and instantly know I'm not going to bun it.

Perhaps the tumbleweed should appear next to the fishbone/croissants (and 'baked' icon, and the 'halfbaked' icon ect.).

It occurs to me that after a month there is almost no idea that is annotated that regularly (except for the top ones) so we would end up with a lot of tumbleweed. Have a different criterion for the tumbleweed. Perhaps if no one annotates it it gets tumbleweeded.

The tumbleweeds are of course released from the tumbleweed dispenser.
