I'm all for test-of-manhood foods. I remember a period a few years ago when I was doing a lot of short camping/hunting trips with 3 friends. 2 of those, who were "new" to the group, weren't into the habit of being good camping mates, ie didn't clean their share and wouldn't cook at all. So my mate and I got into the habit of cooking curries hotter and hotter and putting chilli into just about everything - to the point where it was hardly bearable. Just good rugged food for my mate and I but the other two winged non-stop until it became clear to them that if they didn't like it, they were welcome to cook less spicy food themselves. The funny part was how long this took to realise. |

Sort of reverse-baked. Aside from pepper sprays, some non-lethal weapons shoot capsaicin, the active component of chili peppers, in paintball pellets. One of those on the chest will fill the perp's head with agony. One of those in the chili should do the same. |
