Where The Streets Have No Numbers

Put Them There

This seems such an obvious and useful feature for car navigation systems, I'm prepared to be told it's already there and I just haven't found the right setting, but...

I'd like car navigation system to dynamically display the street numbers of the street address that you are driving by. Ranges in 10s, or even 50s, can be displayed if needed due to driving speed. But this would be incredibly useful, especially on suburban highways.

If Google can do it, so should your GPS +

I've heard that some GPS systems do it (haven't found a reference for any), but maybe not as specific as you ask. Map databases often have a range of numbers over a length of road, and perhaps odd/even sides. I think it guesstimates the spot, based on where a given address may fit into the number range.

Seems like a memory hog. I'd settle for block numbers.
