XML Quran
sell technical books to members of other faiths... | |
There are many "<subject> Bible" books (eg XML Bible, Java Bible etc...) why not have the same books with titles that are more welcoming to people of different faiths? An example would be XML Quran (since there are more muslims than any other faith...)

Because English speakers buy the most computer books, right? and "bible" to an English speaker really connotes "superhandbook!" |

Better yet, how about a religion you could program yourself, based on your particular emotional needs? Then you wouldn't have to spend all that time in the Yellow Pages, leafing through all those various denominations-of-denominations, looking for the one you happened to agree with. |

Different religions place different importance on different things; while bibles have a long tradition of rewordings, mistakes, and translations, muslims are terribly picky about the exact, untouched, preservation of every character of their holy book, and apparently that extends to a strong dislike for the use of Koran as a metaphor. |
