       I will bun it for the cleverness, however, how would you prevent the innertube from being punctured by the object that originally flattened the tire? I suppose this could work for the type of tire puncture that does not leave a foreign object behind as in the case of backing over one of those spike strips that they use in parking lots to prevent you from backing up at the gate.

       This is good. The inner tube could be of some material (or of some topology) such that it would cling to the wheel and not contact the tyre until inflated.
